Sunday Grains of Gratitude.....

Grains of Gratitude

Sorry I missed last week - I'm lame :( It's just been a bit crazy here, with people going hither and thither and trying to keep up with their schedules :) My restfull summers ended once I got teenagers ;)

This week I'm grateful.....

that the hubs had a good week in Boston and made it home safely :)

that Big K had fun with her friends while the rest of us were off doing other things in other places :) I'm glad she's safe, as well, and that the dog didn't run off when she left her out for two days - ummmmmmmmm.

that the other kids and I had a great time in the south staying at Grandma and Grandpa's winter "play house" :) Thanks for letting us stay there! The kids got to watch cable tv to their hearts content and we swam every day :) We even got to see a couple of movies. It was a fun little vacation, although we missed having the hubs and Big K with us. C spent the time at soccer camp, where unfortunately she injured her knee, so we'll have be seeing about that this week or the next, since she is going to a weeklong youth conference for the next week. I'm grateful it wasn't worse and that a nice little storm came rolling in mid-week and cooled it off to just about 100, from the 113 it was the first day :)

that the scorpian the kids found and killed one night didn't sting them :) AND, that they never knew about the huge wolf spider I found the next day and killed myself - I'm pretty sure they would never have slept on the floor again if they knew there was a scorpian AND a spider within the same 24 hours ;) LOL

that we were all home safe and sound and together for a couple of days, before the next round of camps and activities and kids heading off for different places :)

that we could celebrate the 4th in a fairly relaxing way :) We went to go see the big fireworks at the next city over and the kids had fun. We were just far enough away that they were gorgeous but not so loud that Brady hated it :) He oohed and ahhhed and really did like the sparkly ones :) He liked the american music in the background and recognized two of the songs he sang in kindergarten this year ;) He was very cute about it all :)

for freedom and for those who have sacrificed and still sacrifice to keep our nation and other nations free. We live in an amazing place and I'm grateful for all I have. I am blessed.

What are YOU grateful for today?
